BSF Air Wing provides a vibrant career opportunity for men who are dynamic, energetic and experienced to work on its fleet of Aircraft & Helicopters at all operational Bases located at New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Agartala & Srinagar, which are likely to expand to more locations.

Pay & Allowances

Employees of BSF Air Wing provides pay and allowances admissible as per 6th Pay Commission at various ranks [see Pay Scales for details]. In addition, its employees are entitled to numerous allowances applicable, few of which are listed below:

  • Dearness Allowance (DA)
  • Govt Accommodation / House Rent Allowance (HRA)
  • Govt. Transport / Transport Allowance
  • Children Education Allowance (CEA)
  • Central Govt. Health Scheme (CGHS) / Medical Reimbursement
  • Contributory Pension Fund (CPF)
  • Gratuity as per CCS Rules
  • Central Group Employees Insurance Scheme (CGEIS)

Facilities Extended to BSF Employees

  • Free Medical Facility in BSF Hospitals
  • Seema Prahari Beema Yojna (SPBY) insuring a sum of Rs 10 lacs at an annual premium of Rs 1200/- in case of accidental death
  • Quota for children in BSF School, Colleges and Technical Institutions (including RJIT, Gwalior for BE & MCA courses and other Diploma courses)
  • Facility of Central Police Canteen (CPC)

Incentives for Air Wing Employees

In addition to above, BSF Air Wing pays incentive at the under mention rates, which are as per aircraft category:

  • Sr Captain/Captain - Rs 1800/- to 2500/- per flying hour
  • Co-Pilot - Rs 1500/- to 2000/- per flying hour
  • Flight Engineer Officer (Rotary Wing) - Rs 1500/- per flying hour
  • Engineer - Rs 750/- to 900/- per certification
  • Technician - Rs 300/- to 400/- per certification
  • PBORs (Flight Engineer/Gunner/Load Master) - Rs 600/- per flying hour
    (only for MI-17 fleet)

Note that rates of these incentives are revised by Govt. of India from time to time.
