Infrastructure in all these schools is being upgraded continuously.

Rehabilitation of Widows

Re-marriages of 69 widows.
Vocational Training Programmes like Computer Courses, English Speaking Courses, Block Printing Courses, Beauty Parlour Course, Agarbatti Making Course, Tea Packing Course, Handicrafts Course etc for imparting specialised skills to widows and dependents.
Adult Education Programme.
Construction of family quarters for widows. 155 such quarters have already been constructed and 216 more are planned in the next 5 years, from welfare funds.
Employment Linked Vocational Training Programme for widows.
04 Job oriented courses for the wards/families/widows of BSF personnel through AISECT & B-ABLE agencies under NSDC programme have commenced at 07 BSF locations.

BWWA Shoppes / Outlets

BWWA runs Shoppes and Outlets for promoting and marketing BWWA products, artefacts, handicrafts etc made by BSF personnel and their families.
8 such BWWA Shoppes are running at JCP Attari, Panthachowk, Masimpur, Tekanpur, 25 Bn Chhawala New Delhi, Shillong, STS Tigri and CGO Complex.
Now it has been decided to open Shoppes in all Frontiers and Sectors.
BWWA organizes BWWA fete to showcase the arts, handicrafts and artefacts made by BSF jawans and families.

Awareness and Aid Programme

BWWA also works for spreading awareness regarding health, environment, education, drug abuse etc. Conducts seminars on these topics.
BWWA celebrates important events like- International Women’s Day, World Health Day, Mother’s Day, World Environment Day, International Youth Day, Teacher’s Day, BWWA Day, Children’s Day, BSF Raising Day etc. for creating awareness among BSF families on different social issues.
Providing motorized tri-cycles to handicapped children.
Providing shawls, sarees, blankets, utensils etc to widows.
Night Shelter (Rain Basera) for the patients and relatives at Trauma Centre, AIIMS.
Civic actions are carried out by BWWA for the Welfare of needy.
